I guess I should mention that I tried a BBK, the MWS  motorsports kit which is just a larger rotor (12.1") without  curved veins. By your reasoning just the larger diameter of  the rotor should have worked better, but it didn't. In fact  it faded (firm pedal, no braking) just as fast as the stock  rotors on the 1200 degree pads, not having the ability to  keep the pad cool under hard braking. But if you would like to hold fast to your beliefs that  bigger is better, then so be it. I am not here to get into  an argument on the forums.  As for the variable definition, feel free to check  wikipedia, the definitions are all there. J
